BUCK: This is gonna be fascinating, Clay. There are gonna be some Democrats who are trying to convince their fellow Democrats, slowly but surely, it’s gonna be a really, really rough November, you know? They don’t want to come out too much now and say it ’cause they don’t want to be adding to the Republican win and turning sentiment, but then there’s the other side of this. The View, for example, is just like, “Whatever. We’re gonna have a Kamala-Buttigieg ticket and it’s gonna be amazing!”
BUCK: I love this, right? Please. I hope every Democrat listens to them.
CLAY: #DeathSantis, first of all, I would put Kamala Harris… First of all, the brain-power argument between Kamala Harris and Ron DeSantis is not — and look, if you told me right now, “Clay Travis, you can put any part of the SAT, any test you want to have — spelling bee, any way that you demonstrate that you are more intellectually superior than someone else — I would put every spare dollar I own on Ron DeSantis against Kamala Harris, just based off, look, Ron DeSantis, whether you like him or not, Yale undergraduate, Harvard Law? By and large, if you graduate from Harvard Law — just tossing it out there, Buck — pretty smart guy or girl, right?
BUCK: He’s a white guy who didn’t benefit from legacy of his parents or affirmative action.
CLAY: Not a rich guy.
BUCK: Not a rich guy.
CLAY: Still has $21,000 in student loans that he’s paying off.
BUCK: I know. That is fascinating. I saw that shared yesterday. He would be — just in the political scene in general —
CLAY: The poorest guy on the planet basically.
BUCK: — basically like an upper-middle class guy who just happens to be the governor of the state of Florida.
CLAY: Yeah. Still paying off loans. So I would love — again, this goes with The View being the dumbest people in all of media. You are totally tone-deaf, and I know there’s some poll out there ’cause somebody will tweet it and say, “Well, did you see the poll that said Kamala Harris will beat Ron DeSantis? Grab this clip. I know we have it on the transcript. We’ll think of something crazy I can do, Buck. If Kamala Harris is the Democrat nominee and she were to beat Ron DeSantis at any point — might not be ’24, might be ’28, who knows when it might happen — think of a ridiculous thing that I would have to do, ’cause there ain’t no way in hell that’s happening.
