The Stunning Story of Iceland’s Covid Data
23 Feb 2022
CLAY: Iceland — and this is our friend Ian Miller who has a great book out. What’s it called, Mask, Maskless, Mask Insanity, something like that?
BUCK: Unmasked.
CLAY: Unmasked. All right, good job by you. Unmasked. Encourage you guys to check it out. He did a great job, Ian Miller did. He does a fabulous job posting graphs with actual data for you to be able to look at. Iceland has the highest case rate in the world right now of covid: 93% of all adults are fully vaccinated, and 85% have been boosted. They are reporting the equivalent of over two million cases a day and cases have risen 25,000% since Nature magazine claimed they, quote, “hammered covid with science.”

The impact there is, Iceland is basically saying, “Yeah, we’re done with restrictions. The only way to get through this is everybody has to get it.” After all of that, after two years, they’re circling back around in Iceland, which has been one of the patron saint countries of the left-wing lockdown loons. They are now saying, “You know what? Everybody’s gotta get it, and herd immunity is really the only way out of this.” And, by the way, Buck, there seem to be percentages that 75, 80% of Americans now have had Omicron if you look at some studies.
BUCK: I remember the people who think they’re really smart, who have blue checks, some of even have MDs next to their blue checks suggesting that herd immunity was a cruel and heartless idea, even though that’s what vaccination is supposed to help you get to. You always are going to have some degree of infection in the background certainly of a pandemic but in general while you’re doing your vaccine campaign, the vaccines are supposed to help you get to herd immunity.
But look at this as… I think Bill Gates even said recently… Not that anyone should listen to Bill Gates about anything, but he said that Omicron has been a more — and I’m paraphrasing so I apologize if I’m off, but essentially Omicron was a more — effective vaccine than the vaccine in terms of how many people got it and now have some degree of immunity from it. So there are gonna be these people out there who pretend that we don’t remember them saying that herd immunity discussion was “an experiment in human sacrifice.”
They undermined natural immunity as a scientific concept for political reasons for two years. They should have been saying, “Hey, if you have proof of vaccination, you’re the one that should be going in person. You’re the one who should be stepping up and doing things.” But that would have undermined the “everyone gets a shot,” and also the tens of billions of dollars that went to the shot makers.
