The Left Goes Insane Over “Let’s Go, Brandon”

BUCK: So “Let’s go, Brandon” is a moment where the right is having a bit of fun. And it also, I think, it’s a release of sorts because we are seeing that Joe Biden is not a good president and that the people that pretended that he was up for this were being really reckless and disingenuous. So “Let’s go, Brandon” has caught on a bit. We played it here on the show. Clay has pointed out that it’s chanted at games where he’s been — the Major League World Series, right? The baseball thing.

CLAY: That’s right. Every sporting event that I have been to, Buck, college football and NFL and Major League Baseball — now it the World Series this fall — I have seen groups chanting “Let’s go, Brandon.”

BUCK: So it’s fascinating to watch the left — the same journos, in fact, on the left who — were saying that Trump was a white nationalist, Russian stooge, traitor, criminal, all these things, and crazy, of course, are saying, “It’s so offensive!” Jim Sciutto over at CNN, who is a Democrat operative posing as a journalist — which is fine, except I just wish he was honest about it. He tweeted out, “Think about the lesson is the ‘Let’s go, Brandon’ crowd is teaching their children.” 9I think he meant “thing” but wrote “think.”) Oh, Clay, it’s about the children. By the way, “Let’s go, Brandon,” I can say on air. No problem.

CLAY: It’s actually an easier way to denigrate the job that is being done by the president in a funny way without using an expletive, and this is what I was tweeting about. I don’t know if you saw it last night. Joe Lockhart, formerly the spokesperson for, I believe, Bill Clinton, said, “”You know who else had coded statements like Brandon? ISIS, the Klan, Nazis…beginning to get point?” What? He compared “Let’s go, Brandon” to ISIS, the Klan, and Nazis.

Another blue check last night, Dileep Rao — and I saw this and I was like, “This is crazy,” ’cause I compared the response to Colin Kaepernick speaking out with the pilot potentially if he said, “Let’s go, Brandon.” He responded and said, “Colin kaepernick [sic] can’t crash a plane I’m on. I’m also not forced to watch him.” Like I was gonna crash a plane because I said, “Let’s go, Brandon”?

BUCK: They’re actually crazy.

CLAY: They’re clearly insane.
