BUCK: Covid shots for kids. That’s where this is all heading. That’s what’s going on now across the country, as you know, there’s these vaccine campaigns underway, including with Big Bird to get your kids to think the shot is a great idea. The math on shots for children speaks for itself.

Your kid has about a… It might be two in a million or one in 500,000, but it’s a roughly one-in-a-million shot of dying from covid, and they want millions and millions of children to get the shot anyway. Here is the Surgeon General, Vivek Murthy — Biden’s surgeon general, of course — on why your kids should get the shot in his words.

MURTHY: So, what I’d encourage parents to recognize is, number one, covid is not harmless in our children. Many kids have died, hundreds of children — thousands — have been hospitalized. And as a dad of a child who has been hospitalized several years ago for another illness, I would never wish upon any parent that they have a child who sits in the hospital. The vaccines have shown in these trials for children 5 through 11, they’re more than 90% effective at protecting our kids from symptomatic infection and they’re remarkably safe as well. The kind of side effects we saw were a sore arm, fatigue, headache.

BUCK: It’s like a zealot, Clay. First of all, what does him having a kid who was sick years ago have anything to do getting a vaccine shot for your kid? Nothing.

CLAY: Of all the things that have been done related to covid, the attempt to terrify parents that their kids are going to die of covid is, to me, the most indefensible of all. Shutting down schools, indefensible. Everything that we’ve done surrounding children and covid has been utterly indefensible. But the data are out there. Between the ages of 5 and 11 there are, if I remember correctly — we’re gonna talk with Dr. Makary about this from Johns Hopkins.

There are 28 million kids between the ages of 5 to 11. In that cohort of 5 to 11 years olds, 94 of them have died with covid — and note that I’m saying “with covid” because it’s a significant detail. Almost all of those 94 kids have significant additional health-related issues that they are dealing with. I’m a parent of three young kids. I wish that no kids were ever sick.

I wish no kids had any issues at all with their health. Trust me. I know what it feels like to worry about your kids just like every other parent does and that’s why I find what the Biden administration, Dr. Fauci — what all of these people who have tried to convince you that your kids are in danger — have totally, fundamentally demonstrated that they are unworthy of your trust.

And worst of all, to me, they’re worthy of your contempt because they tried to terrorize and terrify parents and much of that terror has been levied on children who, again, you see on social media all the time: Kids crying with relief that they’re gonna be able to get the covid vaccine, when they’ve never been remotely under danger from covid for the past 18 or 19 months. It’s indefensible. It really is.
