Shades of Corn Pop in Latest Bizarre Biden Blathering
31 Aug 2022
CLAY: Sorry. I’m laughing ’cause Buck and I are talking about Joe Biden and Corn Pop during the commercial break, which, Buck, might be the weirdest thing that any president in our lives has ever told a story about.
BUCK: “And I had the blond hair on the legs and then I wrapped a chain around my hand, man, and I was like hey, hey, I got a chain on my hand, you want to fight?” Remember the whole thing? It was crazy. It was crazy.
CLAY: It really is a crazy man story. I said, I really do mean this…the best weapon that Republicans have is Biden speaking. Every time Biden goes out and speaks, people kind of go, you know, like even if you’re a Democrat, you’re like, “Man, this dude is not well.” And he’s also just weird. Listen to Biden. Let’s first play, this is yesterday. Buck watched the whole thing, God bless him. This is Biden —
BUCK: Not all heroes wear capes, Clay.
CLAY: Yeah, this is Biden. He didn’t mention Corn Pop, but he did talk again about being a white guy in a black neighborhood in Delaware, which is a kind of consistent talking point here from Biden. Listen.
Joe Biden tells bizarre story:
"There's a place where I was the only white guy that worked as a lifeguard down in that area, on the East side. And you know, you could always tell where the best basketball in the state is." pic.twitter.com/xDWi7nE4KD

CLAY: Okay. So, Joe Biden went to the black neighborhoods and they’re really good at playing the basketball in the black neighborhoods. I mean, this dude is always saying racially uncomfortable things. Remember his first presidential campaign when Biden won exploded because he said Obama was “the first mainstream media,” like, “clean, articulate black guy.”
And it was so incredibly awkward that basically he was like, yeah, I can’t run for president anymore, and then Obama rescued him from oblivion by making him his vice president, and that’s now why he’s president. And we got another ridiculous clip. What is this other one, Buck, where he talks about…what is the latest one? Another one. Whatever you guys just added. I got —
BUCK: We’ve got him talking about how the bullet from an AR-15 —
CLAY: Yes, that’s what it is.
BUCK: — goes five times as fast as all — it’s like a super bullet. Listen.
CLAY: All right. As a gun guy, Buck, how would you analyze Joe Biden’s discussion there?
BUCK: Completely nuts. Completely nuts. I’m like an advanced beginner in the world of firearms, and I can tell you that this is just… First of all, he doesn’t even say that a AR… He doesn’t even… if you asked him right now, “Hey, what does an AR-15 fire?” he would have absolutely —
CLAY: What do you think he’s trying to say?
BUCK: Absolutely no idea. Look. They’ve created this bogeyman of assault rifles as the thing that is — and it’s so dishonest and so stupid. You know what kills people in this country, if you’re gonna talk about — first of all, what kills people are criminals. Who you should lock up. Start with that. But the weapon in 97% of shootings is a handgun — 97% of shootings is a handgun.
CLAY: Yes.
BUCK: And so, you sit here, you say, we have to get lectured about AR-15s all the time? What about all the — not only are the guns that are handguns in the cities, Clay, they keep letting people who are criminals found with handguns off without any major charges who then go on to actually murder people because they don’t want the cops to seem racist in major cities and there’s a disparate impact of handgun laws. That is what is happening.
CLAY: No doubt.
BUCK: — Biden thinks he’s talking about other than the same stupid talking points he’s made for 30 years.
