Senator Blumenthal Attends Communist Awards Ceremony

BUCK: Democrat Senator from Connecticut Richard Blumenthal said last week that he regretted attending a communist awards show last week, think of this, an awards show for communists, they have everybody in a super-long line that goes nowhere outside for a few hours, and they tell them that there is, you know, no food even though they’ve been invited to feast. And if they complain about it are they thrown in cells? ‘Cause that’s what you’d think a communist awards show would be like. But here is actually some sound of Blumenthal and his communist awards show.

BERGMANN: Thank you all. This is a beautiful tribute from all of our labor leaders honoring how important the Communist Party is in our movement, not just in Connecticut but across the whole world. Now we have a very special surprise guest. Our state senator, Richard Blumenthal, is here to be part of the awards today and to share some appreciation and recognition of the awardees. So please welcome Senator Blumenthal.

BLUMENTHAL: I am really excited and honored to be with you today, now turning our attention to economic equity. This agenda requires us all to work together.

BUCK: Economic equity, huh? You know how I will sometimes use the word with some frequency, actually, and I mean it to be disparaging, “commies.” There has been a long-standing relationship not just between labor unions but between American Democrat Party members and the Communist Party and communist ideology. It is suppressed in our school system. There are books written about this. If you’ve never heard of the Venona Project, I highly recommend you look into that. And here we have a sitting Democrat Senator, member of the United States Senate, going to a commie awards ceremony and feeling totally comfortable there. So they’re gonna always say, oh, it’s not — it’s not communist. You can’t say that.

Meanwhile, they call us, you know, fascists and Nazis and everything on the right all the time, which is obviously a smear and untrue. But there are some real commies in the Democrat Party, folks, hence important to use the term. They really do want a totalitarian, social justice and equity-based state where they think they’ll be doing everything favors by running everything. But how does it feel, given how the government’s done, dealt with covid so far, feel like you want the government in charge of more or less of your life?
