CLAY: England today has set an all-time high for covid cases. That is all the way back to March of 2020 when we first heard about covid. England right now has just set an all-time high.
BUCK: That’s mind-blowing. Can we just take a moment to just think about that?
CLAY: Think about that for a moment. If we had predicted back in June the hot vax summer, “Hey, by the time we get to December, England is going to set a new high,” and, Buck, it makes me a little bit nervous. We talked about last year, right around January 10th or 12th was the peak of the winter virus season for covid last year. it makes me a little bit nervous that we may be trending towards, in the United States, a new high for covid cases as well.
And as this is going on, sports… I talked about this yesterday, Buck. But it is such a disaster right now in the NHL, the NFL, and the NBA. The NFL in particular, their season now… Because so many players are testing positive, they’re gonna have to change the rules on covid testing in the middle of the season now to even be able to finish their season. The same thing I think is gonna have to happen in the NHL and the NBA because all these double-vaxxed players, most of them who have also been boostered, they’re all testing positive for covid.
BUCK: Clay, this all goes back to where we were in the beginning. Remember test and trace, which I mocked relentlessly at the time, because all you have to do…? You don’t have to be an epidemiologist or doctor. You apply basic logic, reason, common sense to it. We have 100,000-plus cases a day right now. We’re going to be able to prevent the transmission of this virus if we increase — not only testing, mind you. I just got tested recently for covid. You’ve been sick recently.
I’ve been sick recently. What actually happens, folks? Think through this for a second. You feel some symptoms. You think, “Wait a second, am I getting sick?” By the time you the bet to a covid test how much virus have you already been shedding out there if, in fact, you are positive? The notion… Most people wait couple of days. “Am I sick? I have a sore throat. Is it a cold?”
It’s starting to feel like we’re back in that. We’ve had this mass vaccination campaign and — to be very clear for, you know, Media Matters and the New York Times — the vaccines are still a solid therapeutic for people at high risk, meaning you’re less likely to go to the hospital. You are less likely to die. If you’re at high risk, it is a benefit to you. But the mandates aren’t about that, really.
CLAY: No.
BUCK: The mandates are about transmission stoppage or even massive reduction, and what we’re seeing is a failure of that policy. That is the reality around us.
CLAY: We’re being lied to as well because Joe Biden is sticking to this argument, which is one billion percent not true, saying, “This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.” Let me play cut 3 as we go to break. One or more lie from Joe Biden. I don’t know whether or not he’s so unintelligent that he doesn’t understand how to look at the data. But this is something they were trying to sell to us, what, three or four months ago? It’s one billion percent not the case that the only reason covid is spreading now is because of the unvaccinated. But that’s what Joe Biden’s trying to say.
BIDEN: You know, you hear a lot from my home state as well as yours and other states saying, “Well, I have my freedom! I have the right to not get vaccinated.” I think of it in terms of patriotism. You’re out there and you’re not vaccinated. This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated — of the unvaccinated.
Those who aren’t vaccinated are the ones that continue to spread the diseases, and so we should think of it in (sic) a patriotic duty. Again, I get told, “Biden, you’re trying to take away my right!” Why don’t you think about being patriotic? Patriotic! Help the rest of the country. The people who are spreading the disease are basically the unvaccinated.
BUCK: Clay, it’s hard I get so angry and then I also have to step back and say, “He’s just not very smart.” So he’s gonna say whatever the puppeteers around him tell him, right? I almost… It’s like getting too angry at a child, you know? You look at Joe Biden; you’re like, “This guy is a moron,” sometimes.
BUCK: I have one quick question, Clay, that I want to pose to everybody before we come back with more of this. Where is the death count on the CNN screen from covid? We’re past 800,000, folks. Where is the death counter on the CNN screen? I think it’s pretty frigging obvious what’s going on here.
