One of the most disrespectful moves we’ve seen in recent memory was Gavin Newsom showing up at the White House the day after Joe Biden left for Europe and measuring the drapes figuratively if not literally.
Now, Joe Biden is refusing to say if he’ll run for reelection.
So the door is open for Newsom to do to America what he’s done to California.
This is probably why Newsom keeps trying to pick a fight with Ron DeSantis, the nation’s most successful governor on covid and a host of issues, and a possible 2024 Republican contender.
Good luck with that. Even Newsom’s in-laws prefer DeSantis and Florida!
There’s the potential of a DeSantis vs. Gavin Newsom battle in 2024, especially if Biden packs it in because he loses the House and the Senate this November and has a Roger Murtaugh moment.
Will Biden run in 2024 despite being in his 80s? Will it be DeSantis-Newsom? Tweet us your take @ClayAndBuck — or, if you’re a 24/7 VIP, send us an email.
