Libs Line Up for Their 5th Booster

CLAY: The fifth booster has now been signed off on. So, all of you out there who are getting ready for fall, you didn’t get taken care of by the first four covid shots. But I gotta tell you, I’m feeling good about the fifth one. Gives you a full handful here. I’m feeling good. This is obviously a joke. I feel like Joe Biden now.

BUCK: “Not a joke! Not a joke! Not a joke!”

CLAY: Actually not a joke. This is from our friend Dr. Marty Makary:

That seems like a very valid question, particularly because the first four haven’t worked that well. Do you want to rush out and get a fifth shot that’s only been tested on eight mice? That doesn’t seem like a very good idea.

BUCK: The question that I have, if I could get access to (impression) “Albert Bourla, the head of Pfizer, and —

CLAY: (laughing) He’s also Count Dracula, evidently.

BUCK: He sometimes wears a cape and avoids sunlight. No. But if I could get access to one of these execs or any of these people who are involved in this process, I’d want to ask them, “So, there’s definitely gonna be a sixth one, right?” Like, can we just be clear on that?

CLAY: Good point. No, it’s not going away.

BUCK: This is number five. Is there any reason to believe that shot number five — without even human trials, which they’re admitting. There’s no human trials. Just think, “Oh, it’s so close to  other shots that it’s fine.” Is there any reason to believe that shot number six is not going to be unveiled by, oh, January? I just think we should know that in advance.

‘Cause I think that tells people something before they get this shot, that this is a temporary protective measure at best for those at high risk, ’cause there are going to be N95, double-masked psychos walking around going, “What do you mean you haven’t gotten the shot? You’re not allowed to come have dinner at my house. You’re a threat. You’re a danger.” There are millions of people still out there like that!

CLAY: Yeah.

BUCK: It’s a shame, but it’s true.

CLAY: Yeah. It really is. I mean, the New York Times was like, “Hey, very liberal people,” in their morning email update that they sent out — 30% of very liberal voters are still terrified of covid! Like, 30% of them. I mean, we’re 2-1/2 years in, and they were like, “This is a big move ’cause it’s gone from 43 who are very afraid of covid to 30%.” But, Buck, the number one way to know whether somebody’s really afraid of covid is how liberal they are.

It’s amazing that this has ended up being the way that the worlds goes. I wonder on some level — and I think this is a big psychological question for people to debate — why are very liberal people so terrified of covid? Are they more fearful of everything? I’d like to see the data. I don’t know the answer. But it is kind of wild to think about, that we’ve gotten here to where this type of insanity still exists.
