Jopocalypse Now: Biden Paints Dark, Angry Vision of America

CLAY: I’m gonna play a couple of these cuts for you guys. But I have to be honest. I actually think that every time Joe Biden opens his mouth, he is the best advocate for Republicans anywhere in the country today. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Joe Biden’s overall approval ratings started to tick up in the month where he was not actually doing anything.

He was on vacation and when he had covid. And make no mistake what Democrats are doing. They know that the Joe Biden administration is a failure on the border. Immigration policy in this country has never been more of a of disaster than it is right now under Joe Biden. The murder rate is the highest that it has been in the twenty-first century.

All of you, no matter where you live, are feeling far less safe in your communities than you were before Joe Biden took office. We certainly still have the mess that’s going on in Ukraine. We know what a disaster our withdrawal from Afghanistan was. We’ve got nearly 9% inflation, 315,000 new jobs, by the way, news that came out.

Many of these new jobs — I put “new” in quotation marks — because a huge majority, almost all of them that have been considered new jobs in the Biden administration are not new jobs at all. It’s just people finally coming back and taking over the jobs that they had when we shut down the country back in 2020. But if you look at every single thing that Joe Biden has touched, the Bidas touch is real.

It’s the exact opposite of the Midas touch. Everything Joe Biden touches turns to crap. And last night’s speech, I couldn’t believe the optics before he even opened his mouth and started to read off the teleprompter. The way that he was set up, the eerie red glow behind him, and the fact that they brought out the Marines to stand behind him at attention was scary because he’s trying to claim that Donald Trump is a dictator, but what he’s doing instead is adopting all of the tropes of a dictator himself.

But what you noticed is, I ran through all the failures quickly there of the Biden administration. Their entire midterm strategy — and this is why the raid on Mar-a-Lago happened — their entire midterm strategy is to put Donald Trump on the ballot in 2024 because they know if they actually talk about anything that they’ve done, they have failed so utterly that they lose on virtually every battleground issue.

So, what Joe Biden is trying to do is — I don’t believe for a minute that the timing on this August raid was coincidental. It allowed Joe Biden to try to shift the conversation from failures of the midterm in his first two years in office to “Oh, my God. Orange man bad. Donald Trump is a dictator. Everyone who supports Donald Trump is basically a Nazi.” That’s the argument that Biden is now making.

And I want to play — ’cause I’m sure some of you have not watched this. I woke up this morning — trust me, I was not excited to do it — and rolled over in bed, and I said, all right, I’m gonna watch this entire Joe Biden speech. And so, I did. And we’ve got a few of these cuts out there for you to be able to listen to. Let’s listen to cut 19. Remember, they’ve tried to basically label everyone who is a Trump supporter as a Nazi. Here’s Joe Biden saying, look, MAGA Republicans only believe in winning or being cheated. They only love their country when they win. Listen to this.

CLAY: So, first of all, the idea that we could be lectured about questioning the 2020 election when Democrats spent the entire first term of Donald Trump arguing that he wasn’t a legitimate president, that he did not deserve to be in office because of Russia collusion, the fact that we would be in a position where, when you look at the 2020 election, just in the last couple of weeks we’ve heard Mark Zuckerberg come out and say, yeah, the FBI briefed us.

They told us that there were — there were gonna be Russian disinformation elements out there, and that’s why we didn’t allow the Hunter Biden story to be shared. We don’t even know all details about that briefing. We know that the current White House did everything they could — they had 51 national security advisers claim this was Russian disinformation. We know that the FBI had the Hunter Biden laptop and knew that this story was being worked on with the New York Post and maybe the Wall Street Journal was gonna be involved as well.

And so, they preemptively went out and rigged what the media was going to be able to say about Hunter Biden when the data all reflects that if that story had been widely shared, irrespective of all the other cheating, Donald Trump would still be in office. So, the idea that you’re going to lecture us on sacred democracy and how you can’t question the outcome of an election within basically the same month that your Justice Department raided the private residence of your chief political rival, something that’s never occurred before in American history, and you’re gonna be out here lecturing us on the sanctity of democracy?

I gotta be honest with you. I kind of like the heckler. I thought the heckler might have been the best part of the entire Joe Biden speech. If you didn’t hear this, we’ve had to bleep it a little bit, but a heckler was chanting FJB during the speech. Listen to this.

CLAY: So, you can hear him there in the background yelling at Joe Biden. Biden has bought in — and I think it’s probably a little bit unfair to say Biden has bought into anything because I think Biden is so cognitively declined, I don’t know that he has any clue, really, what’s going on in the larger American universe. But his advisers have bought into the idea that if he isn’t in office, America collapses.

And it’s so entertaining — I just want you to think about this for a minute — if you have friends out there that are terrified of Donald Trump — there’s a lot of people out there — what’s so bad that Trump actually did in office? Did you enjoy record low unemployment? Did you enjoy the strongest economy in American history? Did you enjoy the streets being fairly safe, way safer than they are now? Did you enjoy when people had at least a little bit of respect for police officers?

Did you enjoy where your kids’ schools were open? I am just so fired up about what I believe is the big lie that the Biden administration is selling. The best advantage we have — and you may have seen me on Tucker Carlson last night, and I agree with a lot of what Tucker said in his opening monologue — what’s going on here is the Democrats are so out of touch with the larger American population that the people that are trying to tell us our democracy is in danger are actually the endangerers of our democracy, and that’s why they’re so bad at making this argument. I’m gonna make this argument a lot.

I think Joe Biden speaking is actually the best possible thing that can happen for Republicans and the worst thing that can happen for Democrats because every time he speaks, he is further making it clear why he’s incompetent to actually be the president of the United States.
