It’s Uplifting How College Football Defied the Coronabros
2 Sep 2022
A lot of people watched college football last night as college football returned in earnest. Clay was in Knoxville, Tennessee, watching Tennessee slap around Ball State, 59-10.
He stayed up to watch Penn State eek out a 35-31 win over Purdue.
That was on a picture-in-picture with West Virginia and Pitt, which the Mountaineers lost by a touchdown, 31 to 38.
We were lucky because of so many brave people who fought as hard as they could to win one against all the lockdowners, the Coronabros, because football almost didn’t get played at all in 2020.
There’s a great documentary that was done on that called Fight for Football: Saving the 2020 Season.
We had the director-producer, Joe Weasel, on the Clay & Buck show to kick off the Labor Day Weekend.
We know that many of you, like us, are and remain ticked off that the Democrats shut down kickoffs. Thankfully, people at high levels of college football — particularly in the South — refused to cancel the season when players were at statistically zero risk.
