CLAY: Cowardice has been in abundance, unfortunately, for much of the past two years, Buck, and, and there has been a race to conformity. I want to give credit here to Evangeline Lilly, who is one of the Marvel actors now in the Marvel superhero movies. She was previously also Kate on Lost for those of you how there who may remember her. I believe she is Canadian.
And she spoke out against vaccine mandates, which counts as bravery in Hollywood, because almost no one has been willing to do it — and she also now has spoken out against the head of Canada, Justin Trudeau, the prime minister there and said (summarized), “Hey, you’re willing basically to meet with every other protester. Why in the world would you not actually be willing to meet with all of the Canadian protesters?” Listen to this.
BUCK: Clay —
CLAY: That’s bravery, man. I mean, you look at what happened to Gina Carano, Disney cut bait with her in a hurry, the Mandalorian, she’s now with The Daily Wire. Credit to Gina Carano speaking out but the president that Disney has tried to put in place is: You accede to what we believe left-wing politics or there will be consequences. I got give her a lot of credit, first of all, for showing up at the anti-vaccine mandate protest in Washington, D.C., and now for recording that. She is Canadian, but speaking out in favor of the truckers is almost unheard of.
BUCK: And yet Justin Trudeau somehow in all this still thinks that he’s the good guy? Wouldn’t it be something that the apparatus would want to debate publicly? If they’re so sure that they’re right — and I think considering the CDC has admitted to hiding a lot of very important data about this ’cause they don’t want to us to get “the wrong idea,” thhey’re not so sure they’re right, not at all. If they were, though, wouldn’t you think that they would be willing to debate this issue?
Why can’t Justin Trudeau speak to somebody from the other side? One of the big problems for the entire covid lockdown and mandate era is that the people pushing this stuff never have to actually explain in a debate or cross-examine or back-and-forth format what exactly are we getting out of this, what have the costs been, what is the upside? A vaccine mandate for people in Canada no longer makes any sense, considering that everyone’s had the opportunity to get the shot, and the shot does not stop the spread?
Same thing in America. The shot does not stop. We just went through this. We all saw, but Clay, ultimately they realize if they lose power on this — and this is the way the progressive mind works, they’re worried they lose power for other things, too, meaning, okay, if we admit we’re wrong on covid, we have less control over you. That means less control over you when it comes to restricting gun rights. Less control over you when it comes to abortion.
Less control over you when it comes to taxation and regulation. Everything, right? They want to be in a position to be able to dictate all aspects of life to you. And so they don’t want to admit they’re wrong on this because all the other aspects of the left-wing agenda they feel with imperiled by the loss of power so it justifies in their mind the continued intransigence and stubbornness.
CLAY: And I would say this, Buck, and I bet you would agree: Most conspiracies don’t come out of fully vetted and released information. It’s when we have an entity like the CDC (New York Times major piece today if you haven’t read it) saying that they are not releasing the actual data surrounding covid, and so when there is that absence, people fill it in with their own theories of why that isn’t being fared. And, frankly, I don’t know that the CDC in our lifetimes is ever gonna be widely trusted again.
