Candace Owens Denied Covid Test by Bigoted Leftist

2 Sep 2021

CLAY: So, we were talking to start the show, about this desire to make anyone who is not terrified about covid or looks at the data and says something other than, “Never leave your home, hide in the basement, you are done for…” Any time those people have any kind of issue with covid, the Blue Checkmark Brigade on Twitter, goes into overdrive. So, Candace Owens — who we’ve had on the show, Daily Wire.

She’s fantastic. Friend of mine and Buck’s. She put out an email that she got. She is right now, evidently, in Aspen, Colorado, vacationing with her family, and she asked if she could get a covid test because she was worried that she might have covid. And she posted an email from a woman in Vale or Aspen, Colorado, and it says this. This is from a woman named Suzanna Lee. “Appointment cancellation notice” is the subject of this email.

“I just learned of this testing request and as the owner of this business am going to refuse this booking and deny service. We cannot support anyone who has pro-actively worked to make this pandemic worse by spreading misinformation, politicizing and DISCOURAGING the wearing of masks and actively dissuading people from receiving life-saving vaccinations. The only other local testing option is the free kiosk by city hall.

“They mail their tests to Texas and have inconsistent result times, do not take appointments so its walk in only midday weekdays in their back alley. My team and myself have worked overtime, to exhaustion, unpaid and underpaid this past year, spending our own capital to ensure that our community remains protected. It would be unfair to them and to the sacrifices we have all made this year to serve you.”

BUCK: Clay, this is the ultimate liberal sanctimony on covid on display. I’m wondering if Dr. Fauci is going to make this testing site owner a senior adviser now because this is the mentality. People that don’t agree need to be punished, even at the expense of the Hippocratic oath. There are some doctors now that are saying, “I will not treat you unless you’re vaccinated.”

CLAY: Yeah.

BUCK: “You’re vaccinated, or you’re not allowed to come in.” It’s disgusting. It’s unethical.

CLAY: Yeah. I am so fired up about this. I want to keep talking about this when we come back in this next segment. We will read what Candace said, and we can open up the phone lines, because I’m curious what the reaction will be among our listening audience. I bet people are fired up about this. It’s the very antithesis of what medical support and services should be doing.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

BUCK: We were just talking a second ago about our friend Candace Owens — TV and podcast host/author — who has been denied testing services in a very fancy ski resort town.

CLAY: It’s either Vale or Aspen. I’m not sure which one.

BUCK: Yeah it’s one of the ones where I think you have to wear a top hat or a monocle while you ski, and you have to refer to “the plebs.” It’s a very nice place.

CLAY: I got to tell you, those places… I’m not a cold weather guy, Buck. Colorado in the summer is amazing. Right? Some people are like, “Oh, I want to go to Colorado. I want to ski, whatever.” That’s your right. My wife loves to ski. I understand some people like — she’s from Michigan — being outside in the cold. I’m a shorts, flip-flops, sunny weather kind of guy. But Colorado in the summer is exquisite. Amazing trip out there, because the weather is great. Mountains. You can hike. You can hang out. It’s a great place to be.

BUCK: I love Colorado because, specifically, the whole state, but also in and around the Denver area, we have a tremendous and very loyal and brilliant listenership.

CLAY: Ah! Denver is a fantastic city.

BUCK: We love our Denver Clay and Buck peeps. That’s for sure. But, okay, we were just telling you a second ago about what’s going on here in the world of media narrative. They’re all now trying to crush Joe Rogan with all these stories, and I told you, they’re calling ivermectin a horse deworming medicine. I just want to give you some examples of this, and it’s hard to find a better… If you’re looking for a toadie of the Democrat-corporate media complex, it’s tough to do better than Mr. Stelter over at CNN. Here he is.

STELTER: He seems to have admitted that he has covid because it’s hurting him in the pocketbook. He had to can… He has to postpone or reschedule one of his upcoming stage shows. So, you’d think the economic consequences might get people’s attention and make people (sputtering) think — may — make his fans think differently about the threat of covid. But he’s trying to portray this as if he’s doing better, he’s doing better now because of this cocktail of drugs and medications that he has taken.

Of course, these — some of these — are under emergency use authorizations. Uhh, others have been discouraged by the CDC and the FDA. But when you have a horse deworming medication that’s discouraged by the government, that actually causes some people in this crazed environment we’re in to actually want to try it. That’s the upside down world we’re in, with figures like Joe Rogan.

BUCK: (impression) “Horse deworming medication.” Reading off the talking points. Clay, the crazy cocktail he’s taking includes medicine like the monoclonal antibodies — not really a medicine, but it’s a treatment – -that everyone knows is highly effective and very good. But CNN is willing to… Because are going to hear what they just said and they’re going to think, “Oh, wait. But Joe Rogan took the monoclonal antibodies and those are emergency…” The vaccine was emergency use authorization! This is propaganda. This is the Fauci fascism on display.

CLAY: It’s so true, and this is why we are constantly trying to tell you guys, “Hey, let’s talk about natural immunity,” which Joe Rogan is going to have now, which we have talked a great deal about on this show, which almost no one will discuss — even though an Israeli study has shown that the best protections you can have — up to 27 times, the Israeli studies showed; 27 times as valuable — is natural immunity compared to vaccinated immunity.

But the goal here, Buck, is to try to make people like you and me and Joe Rogan… They’re trying to delegitimize, anything that we say. This is, you’re right, propaganda. But it’s also an attack. This happens to us, every single day. Biggest radio show in the country. We’re trying to be as honest with this audience as we can be, because we love and trust you guys — and I think that’s the best thing anybody can do is be 100% honest every day.

That’s what Joe Rogan does. They’re trying to go after us, because they are scared — they’re scared, Buck — that if they are something other than sheep, that they are going to have to worry about data not supporting everything that they said, and so they have to attack us ’cause you can’t attack the data.

BUCK: But it’s not even just — and I know you’re going to tell us Candace’s rejoined here in a second. But I think that’s important for us to understand. They want to say… Brian Stelter can say whatever he wants all day. I don’t care. You know, look, this is media. We say things about them; they say things about us. The things we say are true, but that’s a whole other thing. But they’re actually taking action now, Clay, that harms people.

I mean, they’re abusing children in an anti-science fashion by masking them up. They’re rushing through… There were those two FDA resignations yesterday. Remember that? They were saying, “Hold on. We’re going to say this is fine for kids? Are we doing this because of the politics, or because of the science?” There’s so much going on here that needs to get honest treatment. But instead, what they want to do is coerce and threaten and not give tests to people like Candace.

CLAY: And people can say, “How do you win?” I think we win, Buck, by pointing out the absurdity of the other side. And so here is Candace Owen’s response. So if you’re just getting into your car, our friend Candace Owens is out in Colorado wanting to get a covid test. Requested it. The owner of the clinic refused to give her a test, and said because of her politics, she wouldn’t allow her to get a test. All right? Here is Candace Owen’s response. This is great.

BUCK: Brace yourself, folks. This is going to be good.

CLAY: “Dear Suzanna, I wanted to let you know that this might objectively be the most hilarious e-mail I have ever received in my life. Truly, I’ve never laughed harder. Nothing screams ‘this virus isn’t political’ quite like googling the names of the people who book tests with you and determining on a case by case basis whether or not you will let them comply with your community covid measures.

“Nothing screams ‘I love my local community’ quite like refusing to test people who are going to a local event and wish to ensure they are negative and therefore do not spread the virus. That nobody stopped you from hitting send on such an emotionally unstable and hysterical e-mail leads me to believe that the people who work for you must love me, and would therefore never deny me this entertainment.

“It’s hard to pick just one, but I think the best part of your virtue-signaling rant is the arrogant assumption that you’re the only person who can administer a covid test from here to Texas. LOL. Cheers. Candace.” That’s how you win, Buck!

BUCK: That’s classic Candace right there too. Good stuff.

CLAY: You win by ridiculing the absurdity and mocking. This is what good late night TV hosts used to do, Buck. They would take advantage and mock people in positions of power to try to hold them accountable. Now, the left has become so anti-humor and so unable to see, because they’re so focused on their strident virtue signaling, they don’t realize how ridiculous they look to the rest of us.

BUCK: Now you have doctors in Florida, who did not walk off the job. But did a ceremonial or a symbolic walkout from that. But people have, in private practice and people in other places across the country — medical doctors, who the Hippocratic oath and do no harm and all those things; you’d think that’s pretty important — are saying, “You can’t come to my practice unless you’re vaccinated.”

You have people like Don Lemon on CNN. Is he the most absurd host on CNN? It’s tough to know. And we will get to the Taliban/white supremacy CNN headline later on, folks, because that was an amazing moment in CNN’s history. But Don Lemon is out there saying that you shouldn’t be allowed in the hospital if you get sick with covid and you’re not vaccinated. First of all, they make no exemptions to any of this.

They don’t actually talk about people who… There are some people who truly, medically — everyone agrees — it’s risky for them to get this vaccination. But they won’t talk about that. They don’t care about religious exemptions. And, of course, the vast majority of people listening to this right now. Freedom exemptions: “I don’t want the government jabbing something into my arm or making me do it so I can live my life,” especially given all the considerations of what’s the risk profile? How many shots do I have to do? They’re just so dug into this, Clay, and we’re not going to stop till we beat them.

CLAY: I agree with that. Doctors treat people, Buck, who make awful health decisions all the time. Obesity is the number one controllable aspect of covid that we have seen from all the data. People that are wildly overweight get treated in hospitals. People who are drug addicts get treated in hospitals. People who shoot someone and are shot themselves — felons who are committing crimes — are treated in hospitals.

The job of a doctor in a hospital is to treat people who are sick, regardless of the morality of how they got sick. The idea that you would be a doctor and say, “Oh, I would treat this person who OD’ing, but they used illegal drugs, and so therefore I am morally opposed to drug use so I’m not going to do it.” No! When people are sick or ill or injured, as a doctor, your obligation is to try to get them well regardless of how they got to you and the choices they made.

BUCK: This is why when there’s a shootout with police —

CLAY: Yes!

BUCK: — and there’s a suspect who has been hit who is bleeding out —

CLAY: Exactly!

BUCK: the EMS treats him like they would treat —

CLAY: That’s exactly right.

BUCK: — a priest who got hit by a car. They’re rushing treatment. They’re doing everything they can. They’re trying to help them out.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

CLAY: Don Lemon at CNN has actually argued that doctors and hospitals should be doing this — which is a radical, ridiculous, outside-of-the-mainstream idea that is being popularized on CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post. Listen to Don Lemon here, making that argument to his audience on CNN.

LEMON: If you’re not gonna get vaccinated, you don’t wanna social distance, you don’t wanna wear a mask, maybe you don’t want to go to the hospital when you get sick. I know that sounds harsh, but you’re taking up the space for people who are doing things the right way. You and I both agree on this is going to be between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated moving forward in this country. And I just think, if you don’t play by any of those rules and then all of a sudden you end up in the hospital, I feel bad that you, but maybe you shouldn’t go and take up the resources from someone else. That’s it.

CLAY: Imagine if he says that, Buck, except he’s saying it to fat people. If he said to fat people, “Hey, you decided to eat and get obese, and the reason why you are sick now,” ’cause the data reflects that of covid people, 78% of them are significantly obese. Imagine if he had gone on and said, “Hey, I don’t think fat people should be allowed to go to the hospital because their obesity is causing a lot of their health-related conditions, and so doctors should refuse to treat fat people.” People would be like, “That’s kinda crazy.” That’s what he’s doing.
