Desperate Hail Mary: Dems Attack DeSantis on Hurricane Response
3 Oct 2022
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, leftists are coming after Ron DeSantis by politicizing the event and even lying about the deathtoll. But, then again, we’ve told you repeatedly in the last days that would happen.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) defends the timing of Lee County officials’ delayed evacuation:
“Where was your industry stationed when the storm hit? Were you guys in Lee County? No you were in Tampa. They were following the weather track … 72 hours, they weren’t even in the cone.” pic.twitter.com/DYDzmPjswp

It’s a desperate effort to stop his reelection, which looks overwhelming based on the latest polls.

He’s been the most successful governor in America and voters have rewarded him by turning the state red — even though that was thought to be impossible until recently.
A new poll shows @GovRonDeSantis‘ lead over challenger Charlie Crist growing before Hurricane Ian made impact.

Senator Marco Rubio’s reelection is also looking good, despite similar attacks.
A poll released today has @GovRonDeSantis up 8 points in Florida. He won in 2018 by less than a point. If he wins a landslide in Florida after all the covid media attacks for years, look out. Hurricane attacks are left wing Hail Marys. https://t.co/3lVV7NJ8VY

For our part, we’re looking to help, not politicize the weather and death. We’ll be heading down to our affiliate in the area to help with the recovery just as soon as things are safe. Not too long ago, we had a tremendously successful live event there — hard to believe they are off the air right now due to the hurricane.
For those of you who want to help the great people of Florida recover from Hurricane Ian, join @BuckSexton and me in donating here. We will also be doing a @clayandbuck event in Ft. Myers to raise money in person as well. https://t.co/89R9kDs5MV
