South Carolina and its kingmaker, James Clyburn, made Joe Biden the 2020 nominee after he lost big time in earlier states. With South Carolina going first, Biden — or even the wildly unpopular Kamala Harris — look like locks to get the nomination.
Iowa caucuses, see ya? President Biden is looking to shake up the Democratic primary schedule so voters of color have a bigger voice earlier in the process.
Out: Iowa and New Hampshire first.

They’ve stripped away the value of retail politicking and the influence of the electorate in Iowa. It’s a rig job for the nominee the apparatus wants.
