Delusional Biden Thinks His Polices Have โHelped, Not Hurtโ
10 May 2022
CLAY: We started off the show talking about the fact that Joe Biden was addressing inflation at the same time that we began the show, and he was asked about how much responsibility Democrats had to own for inflation, and here was that question as well as Bidenโs response. I want to let you guys all hear it. Letโs play it.
Reporter: โDo you take any responsibility for inflation?โ
Biden: โI think our policies help, not hurt. pic.twitter.com/0sCMmjRfkM

CLAY: Buck, โhelp, not hurt.โ Like, letโs just dive into โhelp, not hurt.โ What does that mean? How is there not a follow-up there? Because what would the inflation rate be if heโs helped? Weโre at 8.5%. So itโs double digital if heโs not president?
BUCK: Yeah, you have to wonder in what universe he is living โcause itโs not the one weโre living in, and you think about the $1.9 trillion that Democrats spent without a single Republican vote. That they canโt get anything done is just not true. They got 1.9 trillion in spending, and they were about to get 5 trillion in spending until Democrats said, a couple of them, you guys are out of your gosh darn minds, okay? You canโt do this. Joe Manchinโฆ
I remember I said this to you, Clay, like, six months ago. I think Joe Manchin may have saved the Democrat Party from complete financial implosion or rather implosion because of the financial policies in the country. I think he may have been the guy standing athwart the Democratsโ insanity yelling โstop,โ so to speak. And itโs funny that Joe Bidenโs saying this, but what else is he gonna say?
This is the problem we run into with Democrats. First of all, they could have pushed for just infrastructure, not that infrastructure would have fixed inflation โcause it wouldnโt have but notice they always tied infrastructure to Build Back Better. It was always itโs gotta be both; itโs gotta be both or else we wonโt do this. So they wanted all that was this massive spending.
And now they would have to recognize, โWell, that was a really dumb idea.โ The only option is for them to admit they were wrong and to admit that theyโre wrong is to admit that Republicans are right. And they wonโt do it. Thatโs why they wonโt turn the ship around. Thatโs why weโre heading toward the rocks and Joe Biden is saying, โFull steam ahead!โ
CLAY: Itโs also why you need multiple questions on top of that because your immediate alarm bells, Buck, when I see that answer, I think it would have been worse. โDo you bear any responsibility?โ I think it would have been worse. Thatโs a record scratch moment where you go back and say, โWait a minute. Here at 8.5% inflation. Thatโs the highest in 40 years. When you came into office, inflation was under 2%.
โWhat you are telling the American public is you were if not in office, if Republicans were in control right now, inflation would be double digits? Youโre telling me if Donald Trump had beaten you in 2020, that inflation right now in this country would be over 10%? Youโve made it better at 8.5%, the worst in 40 years?โ That is not an argument that the American public hears, Buck, and they even will countenance on the most basic level. Thatโs a lie. He needs to be held accountable for it.
BUCK: This speech today is not gonna work. But theyโre running out of options, folks.
