ANDERSON COOPER: As many as one in three emergency responders in some cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, right here in Baltimore are refusing to comply with city vaccine mandates. I’m wondering where you stand on that. Should police officers, emergency responders be mandated to get vaccines? And if not, should they be stay at home or let go?
BIDEN: Yes and yes.
BUCK: Welcome back to Clay and Buck show. You heard Joe Biden there making it very clear, doesn’t care, doesn’t pause, no sympathy for any first responder, cops, firefighters, EMS. No sympathy for nurses, doctors who are getting fired because they don’t want to get a shot that many of them, and let’s never forget this, many of them medically do not need, never mind the freedom and government overreach issue that is pushing so many of them to refuse to get the shot. Biden has now adopted, and this has been clear for a while if you go back to his speech from a few weeks ago, a posture of disdain for those who do not agree with these mandates, mandates that Biden himself said were, you know, indicated, were heavy-handed and unnecessary less than a year ago.
Now all of a sudden it’s do what I say, you’re a monster, who is killing people, which is the joke that Joe Biden made as well last night. Meanwhile, that tells us that everybody who’s ever been walking around breathing and going about their lives during flu season has been a possible mass murderer, just hasn’t known it yet. You know, you could have given the flu to a few people who were immunocomprised. You’re a murderer. This is insane. But there’s a lot of insanity out there right now because we’re heading into a winter period where we’re gonna see just how all this stuff has worked. We’re gonna see how well it works or doesn’t. The mandates, we already know the social distancing and masking, these are tenets of a religious faith of Fauciism. They don’t actually stop the virus. They don’t even really reduce the virus in any meaningful way, if at all.
But there is CNN as well in all this and we’re talking about how the dishonesty. I didn’t want to let this go. Clay and I have been hammering them because of the horse dewormer ivermectin situation. Just by way of quick review, Joe Rogan got sick with covid, that said his doctor was working with him on a number of protocols and he took prescribed ivermectin just to see if it might be a little bit helpful in reducing viral replication from covid-19, essentially taking a completely legitimate and prescribed drug as a — an experiment, a trial to see if it might help because it might be hurt. CNN lied about how this was horse dewormer, to ridicule Joe Rogan. And, Clay, CNN’s official PR arm put out this statement which I want to read to everybody just to give you a sense of what a dishonest and scummy organization CNN really is.
“The heart of this debate has been purposeful confused, they write, and ultimately lost. It’s never been approximate livestock versus human dosage of ivermectin. The issue is that a powerful voice in the media sowed doubt in the proven and approved science of vaccine while promoting the use of an unproven treatment for covid-19, a drug developed to ward off parasites in farm animals. The only thing CNN did wrong here was bruise the ego of a popular podcaster who pushed dangerous conspiracy theories and risked the lives of millions of people in doing so.” I mean, whoever’s running CNN’s PR department would have been really at home working at Pravda when Stalin was the premier of the Soviet Union. Because that statement is appalling dishonest and stupid.
CLAY: It is. And this is one reason why we’re so proud and excited and honored to be able to talk to this audience every single day because, we would never share BS like that with our audience. And, frankly, CNN should be ashamed of itself because what they did to Joe Rogan was argue that he was taking a drug made for horses, himself. They knew that was a hundred percent false. They still spread that lie because they wanted to ridicule anybody who was seeking to try to experiment with any kind of therapies that might help him recover from covid better. And, Buck, this is something we talked a lot about on this show because when you had covid you had, I was fortunate. My covid infection had virtually no impact on me.
It was nowhere near as bad as the seasonal flu. It was not even as bad as a lot of colds that I have had. I was fortunate. Everybody has a different version of covid. It impacts people on different levels. You had a really significant, you felt awful, and so you got treatment that could happy in any way. If it’s not gonna hurt you, why not try something that might help? That’s the very essence —
BUCK: Yeah, I was sitting there with terrible back pain from covid, which some people get and it’s, they don’t really know why, but some people get really bad back pain. And so I figured, all right. If this, if my doc had told me, and he didn’t say, he said you can try it if you want and we talked about it a little bit but if he had said you have a one in 10 shot of this being substantially helpful, I would have taken it —
CLAY: Because it doesn’t hurt you.
BUCK: — very, very safe. It’s safe like, you know, taking a Tylenol is safe or something else. It’s a safe drug. It’s not a drug that has, and it’s a long established, well studied —
CLAY: Tens of millions of people have taken it.
BUCK: So CNN is just doubling down on dishonesty here because they know to anybody who is being reasonable or rational, they have taken a serious credibility hit, we played that audio of all the people saying “horse dewormer” over there. Why lie about it like that? I mean, first of all, to call it a horse dewormer, Joe Rogan did not take what would be the dosage or the distribution mechanism for how you’d give it to horses. So it’s actually a different drug and level of drug from it. And you can play this game all day long, as some have rightly pointed out. I mean, you can die from drinking water too fast. True thing. You can reduce the sodium in your blood so much you can die, it happens to sometimes elite athletes, ultramarathoners, they do have to be careful about this.
CLAY: Yes.
BUCK: But if I take a big glass of water and drink it, I am not trying to drown myself. I am not trying to die or drinking a noxious, dangerous substance. I’m drinking water. They did that in effect with the horse dewormer controversy. And the fact that they’re now, also, by the way, you can tell there’s like a little bit of a petty jealous thing, too, with “very popular podcaster,” blah, blah, blah. CNN is declining in relevance. We all know it. CNN is increasingly a clown show, and people can see it who are honest. Do you think your kids are gonna be watching CNN, Clay, and think themselves, this is the gold standard of news? No way.
CLAY: It’s funny because when Trump was not president anymore, was not in office, they tried to come out and say Fox News is gonna be done for. They said it about this show. They said that show is gonna be done for, people are not gonna listen. The reality that we’ve seen is that MSNBC and CNN desperately needed Donald Trump way more than Fox News or this show did. Now, I wish Trump were still in office. He’d be a billion percent better than Joe Biden. I think all of you listening out there are nodding along right now.
But the idea that we on this show or the Fox News were going to matter less with Joe Biden as president, I would argue we matter more because the things that Joe Biden is trying to do and doing are more destructive to the country than anything Donald Trump ever did. Donald Trump was making America better, and Biden’s making it worse. And the media’s all gonna cover for Biden. We need truth-tellers and that’s what we’re trying to do on this show, basically every day be as honest as we possibly can.
