It’s Not Over: Callers on the Brink of Losing Jobs for Not Getting the Shot

CLAY: I wanted to continue to point out that some people get upset and they say, “Hey, covid’s over.” It’s not over for a lot of people including our military, where they continue to fire people over covid shot-related issues, and also there are a lot of kids graduating from high school who are not being allowed to walk in their high school graduation ceremonies because they haven’t gotten the covid shot. This is all madness, and I believe it’s Bob who called in in the military.

BUCK: Bob in Wisconsin. Bob, tell us what’s going on.

CALLER: Hey, guys. I just feel it’s very important for everybody in America to realize the fight isn’t over. I’ve been serving this country so long that my son is also serving now, and I have done a lot of things and I’ve always been proud of my service. But ’cause my son and I refuse to get a shot we don’t need, we’re both on the brink of being thrown out of the military. My active days are over on National Guard now. But June 30 was our drop-dead date for getting the shot.

CLAY: How old is your son?

CALLER: My son’s 20; I’m 47.

CLAY: Your son is 20 years old, and they are gonna kick him out of the military if he doesn’t get a covid shot that he one billion percent — based on all data — doesn’t need at all?

CALLER: In fact, he got covid at basic training. So they have it documented that he had it. He has natural immunity, as do I, and they still do not care and they’re insisting that he get the shot.

CLAY: It infuriates me.

BUCK: It is enraging, honestly. And this is why… Bob, we thank you so much, first of all, for your service and your son’s service and for calling in to remind everybody. Clay, this is why we stay on this. I don’t care if it’s not “in the news cycle,” so to speak. We stay on this because, as Bob said, the fight’s not over.

CLAY: And they’re going to continue to enforce penalties against people over the covid shot, when we know the covid shot doesn’t work! (laughing)

BUCK: Right.

CLAY: It doesn’t work.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

BUCK: Joyce in North Carolina, a registered nurse. Joyce, tell us your story.

CALLER: Oh, my gosh! Okay. So, I work for a federal hospital, and I have fought taking the shot for two years with a religious exemption. They just declined that. I’m my only breadwinner, and I was gonna lose a six-figure income, ’cause I’ve been a nurse for about 25 years. Now they have created such a nursing shortage that they’re talking about paying an astronomical amount to try to get nurses in. So, I had to hunt down the Johnson & Johnson, because I was told that they wouldn’t give it to me in my hometown unless I was allergic to Pfizer. So that kind of torqued me off. So I was able to find it but I really hate being forced to take this shot because I’ve had covid twice and I survived it.

BUCK: It makes no medical sense whatsoever. The fact that they’re still putting people through this, Joyce — and this is why we want to tell everybody, we just had somebody else. You’re a registered nurse. You’re dealing with this. We just had someone and his son who are both in the U.S. military, and people are still suffering under these idiotic mandates. The Biden administration’s still fighting to put masks back on planes or at least for the power to do it. So like we say, the fight’s not over Joyce. Stay in there. We appreciate you calling. Scott in Tampa, Florida. What’s up, Scott?

CALLER: Oh, just another day in paradise, brother. I hate to say this ’cause, to be honest, I’m really a generally, optimistic, upbeat kind of person. But I’m afraid there might be a little bit more insidiousness behind what’s going on than maybe what you guys are gleanin’. I think the subpoenaed emails that came out basically showed that Fauci was given public comments 180-degrees opposite of what he was finding out privately in his emails, I think is basically smoke showing that he is so closely connected to Pfizer, to the FDA, which is connected to —

BUCK: To be fair, Scott, Clay and I believe both that he’s the most destructive public employee of our lifetime. (laughing)

CLAY: I don’t think we’re giving Fauci much cover. I think it would be hard to argue we’re giving Fauci cover on the show. I would be very happy if he faced criminal charges. I mean, I think you could make an aggressive case against Dr. Fauci based on some of his behavior relating to covid and some of the testimony and what I believe are lies that he has given under oath, and I think he needs to be more vigorously questioned going forward.
