We need to do… be miss… better prepared. We need to act. When Congress returns this month, I’m going to press further action in my Build Back Better plan that’s gonna make historic investments in — in electrical infrastructure, modernizing our roads, our bridges, our water systems, sewer and draining systems. We’re reminded, this isn’t about politics. Hurricane Ida didn’t care if you were a Democrat or a Republican, rural or urban. This destruction is everywhere!
BUCK: Clay, first of all, whenever they say, “It’s not about politics,” it’s absolutely about politics.
CLAY: Always about politics.
BUCK: And also, yeah. Weather happens and has always happened, and it can be really bad, and Mother Nature can be very rough and unforgiving. But notice how it automatically turns into a, “Let’s use this as an excuse for the commie Green New Deal put inside this massive budget bill,” which we have not forgotten about, Clay.
