CLAY: Beto, our boy Beto, is running for the governor ship in the state of Texas. I saw a recent poll where he was down 11. Buck, he came out and endorsed abortion all the way up to the ninth month of pregnancy, which is not gonna play very well in Texas. And I’ll tell you something else that ain’t playing well in Texas.

Beto is claiming, Buck, that everyone who is talking about transgender athletes — including what we just saw from Lia Thomas dominating, winning a national championship in women’s swimming — that you’re just making it all up. This dude is gonna get beat so bad in the governor’s race, I think. I don’t even know what he’s going to do coming out of that whipping. Listen.

BUCK: Can we just say, Clay, that this is a common now Democrat propaganda technique. This is actually, in real time, you’re hearing it. On different issues, on different topics, this is what they do. They did this on CRT in schools. They obviously did this a lot in Florida. First it’s lie about the thing you’re talking about, right, create this… It’s not the “don’t say gay” bill. We’ve been over this a hundred times. Democrats in the state of Florida agree with the bill.

And it turns out there are some teachers who do want to tell 5- and 6-year-olds about their pansexuality, which is bizarre. I just had a big dinner on Saturday with a bunch of friends of mine. One of them is a gay conservative friend of mine and he told me that a lot of guys in the gay community are furious with the left pretending that teaching 5-year-olds about trans issues is somehow an adult gay men’s issue. He said, “Where’s the this come from, exactly? Explain this to me.”

CLAY: Yeah.

BUCK: And he views it as deeply offensive. So on the one hand you have the lie but then also the other part of this that Beto does… I mean, he’s a clown. Beto O’Rourke is a true clown. He’s married a rich lady now so he can keep running for office and losing forever, and being tough in sound bites. He’s like, “Yeah, we’re just gonna take your AR-15.” He’s like evil Keanu Reeves. That’s kind of like what he sounds like to me.

CLAY: (laughing)

BUCK: That’s how you can think of him. ‘Cause Keanu is cool. I like Keanu. But you have… The other thing they do is, it’s no big deal; this isn’t even happening anywhere. Really? Because if it’s not happening anywhere, why is the left pushing it everywhere, right? That’s what they do with CRT. It’s what they do! This is what he’s saying, “It’s like such a distraction.” It’s not a distraction to women who didn’t get the NCAA championship or title or get invited. It’s crazy.

CLAY: It’s a harbinger of things to come, and so the argument that this isn’t happening anywhere is a lie. There are men — biological men — who are setting all-time records in high schools and also now winning national championships in women’s sports. And it is only the beginning of female sports being directly under siege. So it’s natural that our government would be trying to respond to these absurdities, and so the argument out there that Beto is trying to make…

I don’t even get it. He wants to take Texans’ guns away. He wants abortions to be able to happen up to the ninth month of pregnancy. He says that transgender domination of sports is a made-up story. Who in Texas is voting for this guy? I think it’s going to be — and I don’t think that he has been perfect by any stretch of the imagination, Greg Abbott, but I think it’s going to be a landslide, destructive defeat for Beto in Texas. This is not gonna be 2018 when he was running a tight campaign against Ted Cruz ’cause all of the numbers worked in his favor in the first midterm of Trump.

BUCK: The Democrats who could pull it out in even slightly red or purple states are ones who basically are saying, “I’m not like those crazy Democrats! I’m a normal Democrat.” We’ll see how that goes.

CLAY: Beto is an idiot, even by Democrat standards.
