For some reason, GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley saying she’s in her prime and a new generation of leadership set off Don Lemon on the floundering CNN. (This guy used to have a brain, but then Trump happened and ruined it.) So you’ve got a 56-year-old gay man telling a 51-year-old woman that she should be careful about saying this.

Well, Lemon has now apologized — sort of.

The reference I made to a woman’s “prime” this morning was inartful and irrelevant, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret it. A woman’s age doesn't define her either personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove that every day.
