The Day After: The Positives
9 Nov 2022
Clay & Buck zero in on the places where Democrats were washed away by the Red Wave, chief among them, the state of Florida, where Governor Ron DeSantis won by a landslide.
Several thoughts on election so far: 1. Ron Desantis had a monster night. He won Florida by more than any Republican has in modern history. He won Hispanics, women, independents, suburban voters. All of them. 2. Joe Biden, if he doesn’t die, will be the 2024 Democrat nominee.

This is a stunning statistic. DeSantis has turned the Sunshine State red.

There were also some ripples of the Red Wave in the House.
Democrat Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney — the chair of the @DCCC — LOST his race.

The Senate had bright spots, chief among them in Ohio, and although they’re close, it looks like Nevada is still in play and Georgia’s Herschel Walker is headed to a runoff in December.

As predicted the rurals and Washoe have given Laxalt the lead. He’s up 23K votes. Even Joe Gloria shouldn’t be sitting on that many ballots.
Lombardo has won. He’s up 40K.
