Caller Begs GOP to Go on Offense Over Covid Madness

1 Sep 2022

BUCK: We did activate this audience a moment ago to get fired up like Leonidas and the 300 against tyranny — the medical tyranny of Fauci — to go stand in the hot gates of Thermopylae and stand athwart the craziness. They are lighting up the lines. Let’s get to it. Nicole in Idaho on the test score decline from the covid school shutdowns. Nicole, what’s up?

CALLER: Yeah. I just wanted to say that this is a no-brainer. I’m a mom of two boys, and we moved from Tacoma to Idaho for this very reason, ‘cause I could see that my children were getting dumber by the day. I was getting dumber by the day trying to homeschool them.

CLAY: Yep.

CALLER: I could not believe the nearsighted and narrow-mindedness of these imbeciles like Jay Inslee. I thought to myself — and I’ve held on to this belief for years — this is the generation that’s gonna be performing colonoscopies on us, flying our airplanes, filling our prescriptions, writing our prescriptions. I mean, do they not realize how short life is? In 25 years, they will be depending on our children to care for them. And they are just so greedy, selfish, nearsighted. Idaho has been a blessing. It was really hard to move ’cause we love Washington State, but we were desperate. I had to get my kids in school, and thankfully, Idaho schools were open, and they’ve been able to catch up.

CLAY: How old are your kids, by the way?

CALLER: They’re 15 and 12.

CLAY: Well, I’m glad you did what every mom and dad should do, which is everything for your kids, particularly their education. And I think moms are still fired up about this, Buck. I don’t know why Republicans aren’t talking to them on this issue more.

BUCK: I don’t know why Republicans aren’t talking on a whole range of issues more. Go on offense, GOP! Bring the message to the people. Get out there. It’s not enough to just sort of speak in the usual forum. Get out there. This is the time to sprint. No more kneeling on the football.
