CLAY: New poll coming out from NPR and Marist, as we’re on-air right now.  And I’m looking at some of the data, and it ain’t good for Joe Biden.  If NPR is saying, hey, things ain’t good for Joe Biden, you know things aren’t good for Joe Biden: 36% approval in the NPR poll that just came down.  A couple of details here, that I thought were interesting.

Independent voters, 66% disapproval for Joe Biden.  That is theoretically the swing voters that will decide many elections, certainly in the purple states out there: 66 %disapproval.  And this other one, I thought was intriguing.  Non-white voters.  Joe Biden, 40% approval rate out there, in the country.  White, black, Asian, Hispanic.  Congratulations to Joe Biden.  He’s managed to unite the races in the belief that he is an awful president.

He said he was going to bring Americans together, Buck.  What Joe Biden has managed to do is bring Americans together, in agreement, that he is an absolutely awful president.  So, maybe that’s one campaign promise that he’s kept.

BUCK:  Isn’t it interesting, as well, Clay, this is the best that they can do?  Think about the Democrat Party and how grandiose speeches it gives, its various leaders give about how they’ll make the country better and all this stuff, even Democrats are admitting now, Joe Biden sucks at this. He’s not good at this job.

CLAY:  Yeah.

BUCK:  When we had Trump in office, I was walking around, I was telling my audience, I know you were telling your audience back in the day too, guys, enjoy this.  Because this is about as good as it gets.  And I know there was Russia as the bait, and all the craziness, but peace, a roaring economy, sanity at the top level of government.  It was awesome.  We were sitting around saying, look at how awesome it is, you know, in 2017, 2018, 2019.  Joe Biden becomes president, and the Democrats are going, this isn’t so great after all.

CLAY:  I would also tell you this:  There are a lot of suburban women out there that will make a big difference in 2022 and 2024.  I think this is an easy argument to make to them.  A lot of them did not like Donald Trump personally.  And this is probably a big debate we’re going to have in 2023 as Republicans go about picking the nominee.

Would you rather have mean tweets or $5-a-gallon gas?  Would you rather have mean tweets or 9.4% inflation?  Whatever you didn’t like about Trump was primarily personality-driven, and I’m talking to suburban women right now.  Would you rather have your kids in school without masks on?  How about just your kids in school in general?  Maybe if we can’t get on Twitter right now.  But a mean tweet now and then, ain’t that bad of an issue, compared to failing on every issue as Joe Biden has done.
