Southwest to Respect Vax Freedom
19 Oct 2021
CLAY: I was encouraged by this news. Southwest Airlines — we’ve had talked a lot about this story — has decided to basically give cover to employees who are deciding not to go with the covid mask mandate. Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, just tweeted: “Good news: Southwest Airlines Scraps Plan To Force Unvaccinated Workers Into Unpaid Leave. More businesses are realizing vaccine mandates are wrong.”
Abbott says, “My ban on vaccine mandates gives cover to these employers and empowers employees.” I’d like to think that that is the case as someone who has — hate to brag or draw attention to myself — over a million current Southwest points. I have to be one of the biggest Southwest travelers on the planet.
BUCK: Look at you.
CLAY: I’m stacked up, over a million Southwest points.

BUCK: So we’re not gonna get a Spirit airlines endorsement on this show, but I feel like we’re in the hunt for Southwest, possibly.
CLAY: I would think so. There can’t be many radio hosts with over a million Southwest points like I have right now, ’cause I fly everywhere.
