Update: An Illegal Alien Did Rape a 10-Year-Old in Ohio

13 Jul 2022

CLAY: Yesterday, we talked about the viral story surrounding a 10-year-old girl who had reportedly traveled to Indiana to have an abortion. News just came down and we said yesterday on the show, “Hey, if more evidence or news comes out about this story, we will update you.” They have arrested a 27-year-old illegal immigrant — Gershon Fuentes is his name — according to the Columbus Dispatch, for raping a 10-year-old girl and impregnating her.

She was actually, according to the story, 9 years old at the time that she became pregnant. She then traveled to Indiana to have an abortion. The Indianapolis Star initially reported on that story, and their story was that this girl had to travel to Indiana to have an abortion. The attorney general of Ohio went on Fox News and said he knew nothing about a criminal investigation in this case and also that any girl in this situation who had been raped would have been able to have an abortion in Ohio as well.

Now, I’m not an expert on the interplay between Indiana and Ohio abortion law. The AG issued a statement as the arraignment and arrest came out. “We rejoice anytime a child rapist is taken off of the streets.” Again, this is from the Columbus Dispatch. We want to make sure we update you on the story that we talked about yesterday. So, 27-year-old illegal immigrant arrested for multiple rapes of a 10-year-old girl who then got an abortion in the state of Indiana after those sexual assaults.

BUCK: So, I’m looking into Ohio law as it stands now on abortion, and it bans abortion after, I believe, “embryonic cardiac activity.” So they have a version of a fetal-heartbeat law.

CLAY: Yeah.

BUCK: Theirs is six weeks after pregnancy. So it’s a, as these laws go, relatively short timeline, but the point still being that there was nothing to stop this very young girl from getting an abortion in the state of Ohio. So, I don’t know why the travel to Indiana was necessary. We’ll continue to look and see what that means. Maybe there was either a misunderstanding of the law or something. Who knows?

I’m also wondering what further details we could get on, one, how did the attorney general of the state of Ohio…? He really made the case that, initially, that he didn’t know about this or if he didn’t know. Well, now there’s an arrest, it’s been about 24 hours; so clearly there were things underway here. Looks like he missed something pretty significantly.

And then also, why did it take up to now? Why were there news reports being written, the president of the United States talking about this rape — this rape of a child — and they just got to the arrest now. Maybe they were looking for the individual; I don’t know. I’m just saying there are some additional details that I would want us to get.

CLAY: Other details that I’d want to know, the mom reported this to authorities, evidently, in Columbus, Ohio, which I’m presuming is where the girl is from. If that is what began the investigation, why was that not a part of the story about her traveling to Indiana to get an abortion? Again, I think, Buck, to your point, she’s in Columbus, Ohio, she travels to Indianapolis.

Why was that necessary if the attorney general of Ohio is correct that Ohio would allow a rape victim to get an abortion in Columbus as well? There’s still lots of details that are not necessarily clear here. But we wanted to make sure we got you that news just coming down in the last hour. We told you yesterday if that story was updated, we would tell you the latest. And that is the latest.

Starbucks Closes Stores After Democrat Policies Made Cities Unsafe

13 Jul 2022

BUCK: We told you a lot here about the deterioration in safety, the crime wave that has been washing over America for a couple years now, and I do think it’s important everybody knows that it’s not just cities. That’s just where you have the biggest numbers. And so, the data more clearly reflects this, but even in towns and rural areas across America have seen real deteriorations in safety.

A lot more crime going on. And one of the major reasons, perhaps the most major reason we can think of, we can see, is the change in the way our criminal justice system operates due to a Democrat idea that we’re just too tough on criminals, we lock up too many criminals, enforce too many laws, let’s just stop doing that. That’s just the short version of it. We often talk to you about what that does for the homicide rate in places like Philadelphia, for example, which had its highest ever year for murders, ever, last year.

In Chicago, where the murder rate is such that you could have dozens of people shot on any given weekend and that’s just now become the grim status quo. But in places like San Francisco and Los Angeles you also have a lot of day-to-day crime going on, lower level but still the kind of thing that makes people want to move, the kind of thing that makes people feel unsafe. Starbucks, for example, is planning to close 16 locations across a number of cities, and they are specifically citing safety concerns.

The stores are in Seattle — the original home of Starbucks — Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Portland. These are all extreme blue Democrat enclaves. Well, what kind of stuff goes on in Starbucks? There’s a lot of homeless people who will essentially just set up in Starbucks. The bathrooms and the seating areas often turn into refuse piles of one kind or another. It’s a total mess.

And, Clay, this just goes to what we’ve been seeing playing out, which is that Starbucks effectively became afraid to even demand that somebody pay, right? If you didn’t pay money, you weren’t allowed to sit in a Starbucks. If you didn’t pay money and wanted to sit in Starbucks, that had to be a thing that was allowed, right? They had all these debates going back now for a few years.

And now they’ve turned Starbucks into the place where you can’t sit down safely and not think that there’s somebody who is insane and in desperate need of help with hygiene, mental and physical, next to you. Democrats destroy places like cities, and they do it from the top down, they do it all over.

CLAY: Yeah. And there isn’t really any defense. You mentioned the Starbucks. Every single one of them that is closing is in a blue city. And most of them are in blue states. And this builds, Buck, even more… Remember when we were talking about, I believe it was in San Francisco, which had to shut down all of the Walgreens out there? They had to shut down the Walgreens because there was so much theft. And what’s unfortunate about many of these places that are being forced to shut down is it just pulls in more jobs out of inner-city areas where there need to be jobs that people can make a live working in.

BUCK: Can I just…? I want to remind everybody, Clay. This is where I was going. I was trying to jog my own memory as you’re talking about it. It was back in 2018 when Starbucks asked two men to leave who wouldn’t purchase anything.

CLAY: Right.

BUCK: They had not purchased anything, and this caused a huge national uproar. The two men were black, and they were asked to leave Starbucks because they weren’t actually patrons. They just wanted to sit there and use the bathrooms and sit there where customers would normally sit. In response to this, Starbucks changed its policy so that it no longer required any purchase. You can sit in a Starbucks, you can sleep in a Starbucks, use the bathroom. You can treat Starbucks as your own personal single-room occupancy hotel as a function of corporate policy. Do people think that was a really good idea?

CLAY: No. And it’s the problem in general with social media, which often leads companies in particular to respond to viral incidents that are relatively uncommon to adjust their policies for everyone. And using the bathrooms, for instance, in Starbucks — remember we were talking about it off-air, Ali, of our producers, said there are Starbucks in her neighborhood in New York City that she won’t go to anymore because they have become squatting grounds now for homeless people as a result of this policy change.

So, this is everything that’s wrong with social media where you implement policies that have existed for a long time and then as a result of changing those policies everything gets worse, which is why you had the original policy, because you had tons of data to support the original policy, and then you alter it. And here’s the real question that I think begs an answer, Buck. At what point do all of the people living in these communities that are increasingly becoming more and more deadly, more and more dangerous, recognize that the voting patterns that have led them to this position are the reason why things keep getting worse for them?

Trump said in 2016 in the campaign, he tried to appeal to inner city voters by saying, “Hey,” and I think this is a really good appeal, “you’ve been voting Democrat now for multiple generations. Are your lives better now than we were before you started becoming a monolithic Democrat voter?” I think it’s such an interesting question because if you look at the data, when the Great Society with Lyndon Johnson took root in 1968, late 1960s, things for many black Americans have actually gotten worse.

The number of kids being born out of wedlock has skyrocketed. The number of kids that are growing up and owning their own businesses and all these different aspects. If you look, black Americans as the civil rights era crested and they got full protection and rights under the Constitution were skyrocketing in their status in the country. And then in the late sixties, suddenly everything changed.

So, if you’re looking around right now, Buck, in the wake of the BLM protests and you are just trying to be rational and you’re looking at your community, you’re looking at the rates of crime, is there any way that you can defend Democrat policies, I mean just on a rational basis? Not historic basis, not anything else, just looking at what your day-to-day life is? Democrats have control of Congress — they have control of the Senate, the House — the White House, and virtually every — as you said yesterday — big city in America with the possible exception of Fort Worth. And everyone’s lives in those big cities, particularly inner cities residents, is getting worse.

BUCK: They have no compelling counterargument to the things.

CLAY: What is the argument now?

BUCK: If I thought they did, we would tell you because it’s always important — I don’t want to misrepresent the argument of the other side when they have a good argument because I want everyone to always be prepared for whatever might come their way if they engage in debate on this, and also, I want us to be honest about, you know, the material and the challenges and the concepts we’re dealing with. So, we’re not doing a big straw man session here where we’re pretending that something isn’t as clear as it is.

Democrats have ruined safety and day-to-day living in a lot of cities. And I mentioned this I think, Clay, last week where you have in New York, you’ll have these motorcycle gangs, including ATVs and they’ll shut down the street, no other drivers are allowed to drive, and they’ll get into fights with people if they try to drive their cars legally on the street because they want to create essentially a drag racing strip where only they can drive. It’s outrageous. It’s illegal.

And it’s amazing. I’m a New Yorker, and I complain about this ’cause it is illegal. And the Democrat blue checks will say, ‘What’s the problem? Why do you have such an issue with this?” They’re always making excuses for violations of law, for vagrancy, for open air drug abuse, for even violent crime. “It’s not that person’s fault.” What is wrong with them? I think their virtual signaling has gotten to a point now where they’re happy to seem generous at the expense of others, right?

They’re happy to seem like they’re sympathetic, as long as they’re not the ones who are being attacked. You just had a man who was assaulted. Now, I know that the Starbucks thing, for example — this all ties together — that was a corporate policy, was a corporate policy that changed because of allegations of racism that were not actually about racism but the left and the woke terrify everybody.

But it’s also – and I mean this – the completely insane vagrants who now go into places like New York City, near where I live, and destroy people’s ability to sit and have a cup of coffee in some peace and tranquility, and the left says, “Oh, what’s the problem?” Portland just had a guy — I think he was 88 years old, Clay — assaulted for absolutely no reason. Some lunatic on the street runs up to him, beats him to death with his bare hands.

The guy has been in a coma and he just died. I just saw this news story today. This was in Portland, an 88-year-old man attacked by a 29-year-old, okay? The 29-year-old who they are giving us very few details on, but the details that we do have are that he has been arrested dozens of times. He’s been arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, for violent assault, for breaking — you know, for name a charge. Why is this person still out on the streets, Clay?

Why are they wandering around? They haven’t had some long sentence. You know, you look at things. If you commit white-collar mail fraud, you know, if you commit wire fraud, you know, white-collar crime, you could face 20 years in prison, in federal prison. Now, people don’t usually get that, but that’s what the statute says. If you beat someone senseless on the streets, you should spend years in prison. I don’t understand — this is so hard for Democrats — and they don’t do it, and then old people who are defenseless get beaten to death waiting for a bus as just happened in Portland.

CLAY: No, and again, I would just come back to the question — and you raised it and said it: There isn’t a good argument. So, for people out there who are new listeners to us, maybe you’re watching on YouTube, maybe you are listening on the podcast and you are sitting around and you’re saying, “What results do Democrats have to share here?” It is worthy of debate and discussion.

#Science: Boys Have Penises, Girls Have Vaginas

13 Jul 2022

BUCK: We got Meg in Melbourne, Florida, who is an OB/GYN with an important science update for us. Meg, what do you got?

CALLER: Hi. I’m a medical assistant.

BUCK: Medical assistant.

CALLER: I work infertility, Planned Parenthood, and OB/GYN offices. What I would like to say is, any child born is either a female with female reproductive organs or a male that is not born with female reproductive organs. So, it’s the end of the conversation there for people that want to be a man, but that’s not what they were born with. So they would never be a man having a baby ’cause they were born female with female reproductive organs; so there’s your end to that fight. Oh, and, by the way, the new judge that Biden put in that could not describe a woman? You can tell her, it’s because a woman has female reproductive organs.

BUCK: Thank you, Meg. A little bit of #science there.

CLAY: Again, for the YouTube crew —

BUCK: I was gonna say.

CLAY: — I’m just gonna keep saying it: “Boys have penises. Girls have vaginas.”

BUCK: It is true. This is a thing that is real and true, and all of us have to live with that reality. Whether people like it or not, that is in fact the universal and timeless truth of that.

Sen. Paul: Why Won’t They Change the Covid Shot Like the Flu Shot?

13 Jul 2022

BUCK: Another science fact or science reality is that every year, there are these new flu vaccines. And we just know this, and people who are at risk get told may be a good idea for you to get the flu vaccine. Some years, it works pretty well. Some years, it barely works at all, ’cause they’re essentially guessing at what strain of flu will be predominant. Rand Paul, he’s a doctor. Dr. Rand Paul. He is asking a question that I think everybody should wonder about, which is, “So, we’re still getting the same covid shot but we have new flu shots every year. What’s going on here?”

BUCK: Pfizer, Clay, is working on new shots for Omicron.

CLAY: Yes.

BUCK: But they’re also telling us simultaneously from the CDC there’s probably gonna be a new variant this fall.

CLAY: Well, and this is why they’re actually destroying covid shots now. Wall Street Journal last week, I believe, reported that there were 10 million covid shots that just ran out ’cause nobody wanted them. And this is the question I was asking. We need to get Rand Paul on again (laughing) becuase I’d actually be curious what he would say here. I’ve never gotten the covid shot. I had the Alpha version and then I had the remix Omicron.

I’ve had covid twice. Would Dr. Fauci tell me that I need to go all the way back to last year and get the two original covid shots, which were designed for the Alpha version that I’ve already had and had virtually no impact on BA.4 and BA.5, I think that we’re on right now, the variants? Or do I get to skip those now and I just get to skip right to the fifth shot? I don’t even know what they would say to people like me.

BUCK: Clay, you’re like the laptop that has missed so many of the updates that you’re just gonna get the pinwheel of death in the middle that keeps spinning and spinning and spinning.

CLAY: I don’t want any more updates! I’m so far behind I couldn’t catch up. I’d have to be a pincushion now ’cause we’re on shot five or whatever it is.

BUCK: It is remarkable. Just get ready for it. You’re gonna have Fauci telling everybody (impression), “It’s really shots six and seven that are the game-changer. You’re talking perhaps 4% to 8% increase in efficacy over a two-month period.” He’s gonna be saying and people are gonna be like, “Oh, that sounds great!” The libs are gonna be saying, “Sign me up! I want shot eight.”

CLAY: Do they even still offer the shot that you got? Is the J&J shot even on the market still?

BUCK: No, which makes me wonder, “How am I even considered to have been vaccinated in that vaccine is no longer even in distribution for being ineffective?” I got the shot that was practically recalled. I got the lemon of shots. That’s not good.

CLAY: Well, they’re all lemons. But you got the lemon of the lemons, which is a bad combo there.

Huge Realignment: Dems Are the Party of White Woke College Grads

13 Jul 2022

CLAY: We’re gonna talk with Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri next hour. But many of you have seen the viral video of a Senate hearing yesterday when Senator Hawley got into a debate, believe it or not, with a Cal Berkeley professor over whether men can get pregnant or not. It is now Democrat orthodoxy that men — that is, “transgender men,” women biologically who become men — they’re now all-in on the idea that men can become pregnant.

And many people: white, black, Asian, and Hispanic with functional brains are saying, “That’s over the woke waterfall. I can’t follow you there,” and it’s happening in a big way. This is from the New York Times-Siena College poll in terms of realigning the Democrat and Republican parties. Democrats are now the party of the white woke college graduate.

Democrats are more supported by white college graduates than they are by minorities, and Hispanics have now broken evenly for Democrats and Republicans. And this is a monumental realignment because — and I’m reading from Axios — Hispanic voters backed Democrats by nearly 50 points in the 2018 midterms. Now they are even — and we’ll talk with Ryan Girdusky, who is a great data analyst, at the top of the third hour about this. And the other aspect here is, 29 of his 75 House targets have a Hispanic population over 15%. The racist Republican Party is adding an awful lot of minority support, Buck. What’s going on here, in your own mind?

BUCK: Well, the lifestyle liberalism that has overtaken the leadership class of the Democrat Party is an electorate liability. Let’s remember why they put Joe Biden forward. Joe Biden has, over decades, really mastered the art of the kitchen table, roll up the sleeves, Blue Dog Democrat, just a union guy, just good old Joe. It’s all a show. It’s nonsense.

Joe Biden’s a rich guy whose son is a multimillionaire through selling influence to China. But just… Let’s just assume for a moment we’re gonna analyze the pitch that he makes. That it’s Joe Biden is a friend of the working class. That’s been his core promise all along. Joe Biden, he rides the choo-choo from Delaware to D.C. and he cares about the working folks.

CLAY: Right.

BUCK: And you notice this every time he speaks, “Ah, you know, just middle class, you know, help the middle class.” He talks about it all the time like a middle-class talking point robot, and what you’ve seen is the Democrat Party actually makes it a lot harder for people who are not in two categories. If you are so rich and so well off in general or so protected — that would include a lot of government employees — from the economic realities of the marketplace under Democrat administration, then you get to be a Democrat.

This is where you get your limousine liberals like no one rides a limousine anymore, are we gonna Call them “private jet progressives.” But, you know, Palo Alto, New York, D.C., a lot of the Democrat strongholds. You have the elites who don’t really care what the tax rate is all that much — well, they care for themselves always but not for other people. And then you also have those who are dependent on the government, which would actually include the government employees, people that are on welfare.

Notice there’s been a huge expansion — rarely gets talked about — of Medicaid, of food stamps in recent years. So, the Democrats are distributing all of this money, effectively — remember inflation, everybody? — to more and more people than ever before, trying to buy off their votes. And there’s a dependent class that needs the Democrat Party, and then there’s an elite managerial class that wants to be in control at the top of the Democratic Party.

Everybody else, Clay, is in between, really. And that’s where the Republicans can actually come in and make gains. What was so different about Trump’s appeal as it played out with the electorate in 2016: White, working-class voters in particular went with Trump in Wisconsin and Michigan and Pennsylvania, right? What is hopefully gonna be different this time around, you’ll have the switchback of more of those white, working-class voters in the midterms plus this Hispanic tidal wave.

It’s really a sea change that could be happening right now toward the GOP, which would be absolutely fantastic. And that’s ’cause a lot of Hispanic-Americans who were small business owners, who are, you know, finally getting to a point, you know, in their careers are getting to a point in their earning cycles where they want to actually keep more of what they earn. A lot of them have been immigrants or their parents were immigrants, and they want that American dream. They don’t want a Biden administration that’s running around teaching kids about transgenderism and printing trillions of dollars and acting like it’s no big deal. That doesn’t make sense to them. And they’re right.

CLAY: I would say the woke waterfall effect is really occurring when you’re looking at the white woke liberal. Because there’s lots of people out there who say, “Look. I don’t really care what gender you want to be.” Right? If you’re an adult and you decide I want to be a girl and you’re a dude or vice-versa, whatever else. But there is the next step. And that’s where we are right now, where you start to expect me — that is you, me, everybody out there listening — to say things that are fundamentally untrue.

When you start arguing men can get pregnant, I’m sorry. That is not true. I’m wearing a T-shirt right now that we’re selling lots of at OutKick right now, Buck. It says, “Boys Have Penises, Girls Have Vaginas.” All right? I can’t believe that this is a real debate. Men can’t get pregnant. And also there’s a difference between, hey, you identify as whatever you want. But when you’re a dude and you decide, “Oh, I’m a girl now, and I get to compete in women’s sports and I get to go into women’s locker rooms!”

That’s going over the woke waterfall. And I think there are a lot of Hispanic, black, Asian, and white people out there with common sense who are looking around saying, how did we ever get here? And, Buck, I talked to about this off-air and we’re gonna talk about it with Josh Hawley next hour. But I actually did a deep dive last night because I was like, man, what are people saying on the other side?

There are an unbelievable amount of woke white blue checkmarks who thought that Berkeley professor made Josh Hawley look awful when she was arguing that men can get pregnant. The Democrats are going over the woke white waterfall, and they’re doing it on Twitter which they believe is the real world. And I’m like, man, walk into any gym in America and ask the dudes in there playing basketball or lifting weights:

“Hey, should girls be able to — or should girls have to — compete against a dude who decides that he’s a girl?” They all say no. I mean, this is crazy talk. And the idea that men can get pregnant is crazy talk. And this is where the far-left-wing, progressive, white, woke universe has led Democrats to what I think is gonna be electoral destruction.

BUCK: This will tell you a lot, right? We can just have a little thought experiment here. Joe Biden would either say men can get pregnant or would just do the usual, you know, sidestep, dance around the topic. If he was asked, “Mr. President, can women only get pregnant?” the current president of the United States will not say that. So, for anyone who wants to suggest, “oh, this is a fringe issue, or, oh, this is not that big of a deal and they’re making a bigger deal of it.” No, no. That’s one of the very dishonest ways the left often argues.

CLAY: Yes.

BUCK: They push their radicalism, and as they’re doing it and as they’re seeding institutions with their ideologues and as they’re crushing people that dissent from them, they say, “What do you mean? It’s not even a thing. Why even talk…? It’s like two athletes. What’s the big deal?” This is what the left-wing morons say because they’re dishonest. Joe Biden, the sitting president of the United States, would not be willing to say on a debate stage or in a public address that only women can get pregnant. He will not say it because the Democrats —

CLAY: Buck, he would say men can get pregnant.

BUCK: I think he would. What I really think he’d do is, “Folks, middle class, inside out, you know, top down.” “Mr. President, can men get pregnant?” (impression) “It’s middle class! You know, it’s… You know, no joke. Middle class.” It’s just… Guys, it’s scrambled eggs up there. We all know it. The guy’s a mess. So —

CLAY: Would you have ever believed, Buck, that we’d be in a position where president of the United States would be afraid to answer the question, “Can men get pregnant?”

BUCK: No.

CLAY: I know.

BUCK: But that’s why I think it’s important for everyone to know, this is where we are, everyone. Take stock of this moment. You have a president who, because of his party’s lunatic orthodoxy, will not say the most basic biological facts. And, if anything, he’ll do the usual. Usually when you’re quoting Biden, what does he do? He starts yelling.

CLAY: Yeah.

BUCK: He goes on offense. He’s like the angry old man yelling, “Get off my lawn!” He’s not even a nice neighbor. So, we’ll get to more of this coming up here and also a lot more on, you know, the crime problem, Clay. There’s so many issues where I think that anyone who’s being honest would say, I just have to slap down the Democrat Party in this election on this one issue and it would be worth it. And there’s about a half a dozen I can think of where it would be justified to be a single-issue voter against Democrats and there are a half dozen of those that I can think of off the top of my head.

“Read the Polls, Jack!” Delusional Biden Snaps at Reporter

13 Jul 2022

BUCK: It’s a really tough sell at this stage even for Biden himself to make that this administration is not just a catastrophe. I thought it would be bad. I have received, at some level, Clay, a humility prediction here because I thought it would be bad, but I was actually worried that just by existing post-pandemic, he’d have a pretty strong economy to work with. But, no, I underestimated the ability…

I knew he would be bad, but I underestimated how bad he could actually be. That’s the best way I could put it, and I think everyone listening knows that. They feel the same way. They’re like, “Well, this guy is a joke, but a deeply unfunny joke now.” A reporter today asked Biden about a poll that shows that 66% of Democrats — Democrats, not general electorate — don’t want him to be the nominee. Here’s how oh-so-cool, calm, collected, unifying, cuddly Biden responds.

BUCK: He doesn’t understand polls, I think. Usually, I would say he’s lying. But, Clay, do you think he can actually process the difference between, “Do Democrats want Joe Biden to be their nominee?” and “If it has to be Biden, they’d vote for him over Trump”? This is not the compelling argument that Biden seems to think it is.

CLAY: Yeah, and that number came out in the New York Times poll — a poll that I think most people would recognize, given the New York Times’ history, is not going to be favorable to Republicans. So this was a poll of Democrats asking if they wanted the sitting incumbent president to run again, and nearly two-thirds of them said, “No, we don’t want you to run.” Buck, we’ve never seen anything like this.

No one who is living today has ever seen a sitting incumbent president have this little support for reelection in basically our lives. And that’s why I think that he is going to decide — in February or March — not to run. And by “decide,” I mean, the Democrats are going to force him to announce that he’s not going to run. Biden landed… Did you see the footage of Biden landing in Israel earlier this morning, Buck? They were trying to avoid… They made a big show of Joe Biden’s not gonna shake hands with anyone.

And initially he was fist bumping and then he started shaking hands. And while you’re sitting out there saying, “Wait a minute. He shook hands with 500 people at this gun-legislation signing bill. The next day suddenly it’s not safe to do it?” What they’re trying to avoid is a photo of Biden shaking hands with Mohammed bin Salman, MBS, who is basically running Saudi Arabia, because Biden said he runs a pariah state, and he would never interact with him.

So now they’re just trying to get away with, in the Middle East, fist bumping, yet Biden himself has already landed and started shaking hands. The guy is clueless on a level that a president has never been clueless in any of our lives; and increasingly — you heard Newt Gingrich yesterday on the show with us, Buck — say it was unfair to compare Biden and Carter because Carter was so much more competent than Biden could have ever dreamed of being. And it just keeps getting worse for Biden on a day-to-day basis.

9.1% Inflation! How Bad Will the Biden Recession Get?

13 Jul 2022

CLAY: It’s amazing how often the, quote-unquote, “experts” continue to be wrong about inflation, which is the overwhelming number one story that is out there in America today. At 8:30 a.m. Eastern — right before many of you probably got in to work or right as many of you were getting to work — inflation comes out. It is now at a 9.1% level, up from 8.6% last month. It is — drumbeat, please — “above expectations” yet again.

The economic disaster that is Joe Biden’s administration continues, and here are some numbers from the CPI report. Over last year, 98.5% cost increase in fuel oil; gas up just shy of 60%; electricity up nearly 14%; food at home up over 12%; new cars up 11%; transportation, 9%. You know it; you experience it. you knew it was going to happen because — unlike the Biden administration — you actually live in the real world.

Road map for where we’re headed: Senator Josh Hawley, he went viral yesterday for saying men can’t get pregnant. I’m not even making that up. That is why he went viral from Missouri, the senator there, one of them, will join us, Ryan Girdusky on the latest data on the midterms. All of that coming your way. Study out from the New York Times: Republicans adding minority voters overwhelmingly as the Democrats have become the party of woke, white college graduates.

There is a new video from the Uvalde shooting that is going to make you all sick. Joe Biden is now in the Middle East, and Joe Manchin, senator from West Virginia, has said basically Congress needs to stop spending money. He is a sane Democrat. But, Buck, I wanted to play this for everybody out there. The Biden administration experts have been telling you that inflation is not a big deal for a long time now.

This is a montage of Joe Biden, of our good friend — former Little Red Lying Hood, our former White House press secretary and speaker before we got to Karine Jean-Pierre — also, Treasury secretary Janet Yellen. All of this… That, of course, is Jen Psaki, who is the former White House press secretary. All of them telling you no big deal, everything’s gonna be fine, inflation is transitory. Listen.

CLAY: All of this is embarrassing and, unfortunately, the people who are bearing this massive tax increase… You heard at the end there, Biden trying to blame Vladimir Putin. When Russia invaded Ukraine, Buck, inflation was already 7.9%. What’s your reaction to 9.1% inflation?

BUCK: Oh, it’s just a question now of are we in the Biden recession and how much worse is the Biden recession going to get? Now, what I mean by, “Are we in it?” is if it hasn’t started, it’s about to start, now that we see this trend with inflation. And you get into some difficulties here because politically they’re obviously gonna want to do whatever they can to make it seem better before the midterms, and so they may forestall the recession at some level.

They may try to do whatever they can. For example, the Fed raising interest rates. People are talking about huge interest rate hikes now to try to rein this in. Well, you can either do that now, take the pain now, or you can try to do it more slowly and do a little bit of monetary magic here and there to make it seem less bad in the in the future. But that will probably make it worse over the long term, meaning you’re gonna get…

Do you want to take your medicine now, or do you want to have to take more medicine financially down the line? That’s probably what America is facing right now. And with the feckless and reckless Democrats in charge like Joe Biden, I think you can expect that And this is… All you have to do is you look at economies around the world that have had a terrible time over the last, let’s say, 20 or 30 years. Inflation is ruinous.

CLAY: Yeah.

BUCK: Inflation has so many components. We think of it in terms of what it does to people paying for gas and groceries, ’cause that’s what you’re feeling every day and that’s why the American people, the American voter are looking at this and saying, “Oh, my gosh. What is going on here? I’m getting poorer. I’m doing the same work, I’m living on the same budget, but I’m getting poorer every month.”

But when you look at it from the business and longtime investment sense as well, a lot of businesses, if inflation keeps up like this, will start to say, “I can’t make longtime investments ’cause I don’t know what the future is gonna look like.” The lack of stability that this creates — the economic distortion in an inflationary period — have all kinds of secondary effects that slow growth, slow investment, make people poorer. That’s gonna start bringing up the unemployment rate. By the way, the way we gauge unemployment in this country is a whole other conversation. It doesn’t really reflect what the job market’s truly doing right now. So, Clay, this is a disaster for the country.

CLAY: Yeah.

BUCK: A disaster for the Biden administration. “Worst in 40 years.” We keep saying that. It’s gonna be the worse in even longer than that, I think, when all is said and done. And does anyone think that the people in charge…? You just played that montage, which is so excellent. They have been so wrong about everything. When Biden says, “We’re on the problem of inflation; we’re doing everything we can to bring prices down,” this is like Dr. Fauci telling you right now, “We just need a few more shots. You just need to mask up a little more.” It’s not gonna work, folks. The people who were wrong about everything aren’t suddenly gonna be right.

CLAY: Joe Biden would have been better off if he had gone… For those of you who remember the Seinfeld television show, there was an episode that’s very popular where George Costanza just decides that everything in his life is going wrong, so he’s gonna start doing the exact opposite of what he thinks he should do, and everything starts going better for him.

Joe Biden would have had a more successful presidency so far if he had come into office and done the exact opposite of everything that he’s done. And we should mention that the craziest thing about how bad Biden has been is he would have been far worse off if he had actually gotten Build Back Better passed because he would have spent another $5 trillion plus, and we’d be sitting at 15% or 20% inflation right now, which leads us, Buck… People say, “Okay, where we going from now?” Biden’s still trying to spend money.

They’re trying to pass a tax increase and spend billions and billions of dollars more before July runs out and we officially move into the midterm election cycle. And Joe Manchin put out a statement that said, basically, “No matter what spending aspirations some in Congress may have,” I’m reading directly from his statement, “it is clear to anyone who visits a grocery store or a gas station that we cannot add any more fuel to this inflation fire.”

Now, I’m hopeful that means that Joe Manchin is basically waving the white flag and saying, “No more. We are done negotiating.” The best thing that Republicans — ’cause we got a lot of senators, congressmen and their staffs who listen. The best thing that anybody on Capitol Hill could do is basically run out the clock on Joe Biden and the remainder of this congressional cycle, not pass anything more, don’t make anything worse. We’ll see what happens with the inflation data on July a month from now when we’re in mid-August. But it’s not gonna get much better before the midterms. I don’t think anybody’s arguing that.

BUCK: And they’re not going to take the rational response to this that you were just laying out. Remember, Democrats said very well by Rahm Emanuel. It’s one of the oldest aphorisms out there, but a crisis is an opportunity. Democrats, as much as they understand they have to emote and pretend they care about all the peasants out there that don’t have their electric vehicles, that are struggling to put their gross, icky gas in their cars, the unwashed masses with their gasoline!

Democrats have to do that so that they can get the votes plus whatever other votes they can get through shady means, they can get the votes together to stay in power. But ultimately, they see all of these things that you and I talk about as crises — whether on the economic front, the environmental front, the border, crime — as opportunities to push more of what they want from a policy perspective.

“Put us in charge more and we’ll fix it.” This reminds me of the big line for the Obama administration when they had the stimulus, which was a trillion dollars. To remind everybody, that was a trillion dollars, and you got the Tea Party. Joe Biden spent $2 trillion like he found an extra 20 in the back pocket of his pants, and everyone was like, “Oh, okay. I guess so.” No. That was Crazy Town, and what they were saying was, “Oh, he didn’t spend enough.”

You’re going to see with the Biden administration says on a range of issues, including the economy, “The problem is the Republicans! The problem is we can’t do enough of what we want.” They’re gonna try the Build Back Better thing just ’cause it second downs good as a slogan or it sounds good as words. The second anyone dives into it, to work point, Clay, it would have made everything markedly worse to anyone who operates in reality.

But you see these supply chain issues. You see the opposition to fossil fuels. The Democrats are just honestly religious about it. The situation of Dutch farms, the situation of the globalists deciding that people can’t continue on living these fancy lifestyles. Silicon Valley lengthy just had an actual coup because it was pursuing crazy environmentally friendly ESG-style policies. It’s not like the libs look at this and do what you and I and everyone listening to us does and say it’s a disaster. They go, “We just need to tweak it.” Real Bidenism has never been tried, Clay. That’s the problem.

CLAY: And that’s why we need a landslide in less than four months and also why we need another landslide in 2024 because until they get their ass kicked, I don’t think Democrats are going to recognize how out of touch their policies are and, frankly, how disastrous they are for the overwhelming amount of Americans out there — white, black, Asian, and Hispanic — because 9.1% inflation is a default tax on the pastor among us. It hurts everybody, but you’re living paycheck to paycheck, you feel it so much worse. Joe Biden is the worst president in a hundred years or more, and I don’t see things getting any better at all.

The president lied again. He told a story about a pregnant 10-year-old rape victim who he said was forced to travel from Ohio to Indiana for an abortion. The problem is there’s no evidence this actually happened and Ohio allows abortion for raped children anyway.
